The company I buy my 3D printing filament from has also quite wild names for their color like the blue shades are called Shallow water, soft Breeze and deep Ocean ^^°

Modern words are a hoot, because it's almost the same in every language but with the speaker's accent and maybe a little fancier spelling. Telephone, telefono, telefoon, telefoanina, telefonit, fòn, annnd then more blunt references like "tarho" meaning "distortion", which is certainly more accurate in poor service areas.
