90% of the rice here is instant rice. The rest is pre-flavored stuff, usually with vermicelli as well

Yup. Minute Rice and Uncle Ben's are the main ones for instant, Rice-A-Roni for the flavored

Yeah I’ve seen those. Probably tasted them too. But we stick with large bags of uncooked rice and then use a rice cooker. I’ve used rice cookers all my life. Lol

We have some very different upbringings

well my parents are very traditionally asian. so of course all our rice has to be plain white rice. XD or well nowadays, its plain white rice mixed with either red rice, black rice, or millet. bc rice contains a lot of sugars so adding different rice/grains will cut down on the sugars.

The neon part is my joking about how pale i am. And yes, I burn incredibly easily, with or without sunscreen...which makes no difference, even at stupid high SPF counts. I will be red within half an hour. But if it's light enough, couple days later it'll be completely gone. Maybe a week if it's deeper
