The only reason I think I'm not worse at public speaking than I am is due to band. We were always taught in band to keep going even if you messed up...and if you're playing music with other people, you can't stop really (you can, but that would be a bigger mess up than what you already did)....so maybe that helped me?

Either way, I can always feel that anxiety creeping up, just when thinking about it.

I've never liked public speaking. I remember having to give oral book reports and I pretty much just stood there staring at the class. If the teacher asked me a question about the book, I could give him the answer, but otherwise, I didn't manage to say much.

My sister is even worse than me. When she had to give a presentation in high school she had such a bad anxiety attack that her teacher told all of the other teachers to not ever make her do another one.

I don't do public speaking unless absolutely necessary. And since I am no longer in college, it's not really necessary. lol.

So that's good.
