I think the template with the base area marked out will help a lot. You really can't get more clear than "your base should fill out this area, not much less and not much more," with a lovely blue box showing the boundaries.

If we can't understand those simple instructions, we fail at reading comprehension.

ml: Her Knuffel would not be rejected right after I looked at the first stage, no matter what the other stages would look like, I would not even look at them.

I know this might sound harsh, but people already have problems understanding the rules for Knuffel now, so it is the same rules for everyone with no exceptions that will make things more complicated or will make people come to me after I rejected their Knuffel telling me "But you accepted Knuffel X from user X who has the same 'problem'".
All things that have happened before.
So the rules are the same for everyone, with no exceptions:

Your Knuffel's base including hair (hair can go further to the sides) in the first stage should fill out about this area, not much less and not much more. The areas around the marked square should only be filled during further evolutions:

Firn, my intention isn't to push the rules, I read this thread more times to try to understand all (always because of the language). But when I tried the image that you putted to see the proportions on my last cats base I saw that this was out, and they all were accepted, so I thought that you could saw it different for different bases. Because I still had some doubt I asked on the other thread, and they said "yes, they should go". I also thought that they had to have at least almost the same margin at each side, which I did. BUT I still had some doubt, for this I wrote here too, before finish the work and maybe (now it is sure) force you to reject them. I have to admit that I think that this rule is a bit strict, not because I don't agree that knuffel have to have almost the same proporction, but because the weight so strict is a big limit for different bases. Obviously this is your site, so it's on you to decide :qw: I'll try to change the bases to make them fit as much as possible on your image.
Thank you for your answer

EDIT: ml1201, you can see how they'll become in my spoiler thread :qcute:

Well, she might be able to fix up the bases so that they fit in the box, but she might have to change the poses to do so.

@Saokymo
"not much less and not much more" is a vague term, what might be too much to one person can be just right to another. It all depends upon the person. So its not a matter of failing at reading comprehension, but rather if the statement means the same thing to another person. Firn knows what she believes is too much, but we cannot read her mind nor understand how it works, therefore there is bound to be misunderstandings. So I'm just pointing out that what you said is kind of rude and making it seem like we're none too bright when in actuality even the most intelligent of people can make that mistake.

I really do not know how to explain it better with words and illustrations than I already did..

It seems to me that a lot of people are having problems making their knuffle bases proportional to the bases given on the site. (I know I pestered you enough with my own questions.) I think it would probably be best to show the overlay pictures (such as my cat base and the original knuffle base) as an example when you state that the knuffles need to proportional. You should also state that the "head and feet" of the knuffles need to approximately reach the same size as the original knuffle base. So things like ears, hair, hats, etc do not count. I know that confused me for a while because I was counting the height of my cat's ears as part of it's overall head size.

As an addition to what Tiamatsan said, also a faint line to show a rough estimation of what you consider to be an allowable extension beyond the recommend box for the first stage of the knuffel. This way its easier for people to tell whether or not their base is too large to be accepted for the site. This way when people make bases like Eylis did, where it was too much over, they will now much better that they did or did not go over the le-way for it. (I honestly have no idea how to spell that word o.O).

Posting reason for rejection would help.

Though for me you're missing this:

Firn wrote:
→ Striking, clearly visible major changes per stage
→ At least 3 BIG changes per stage (wings, animal ears, tails, new pieces of clothing etc.).
If they are minor things, like "adding gloves" or "necklaces" etc, there should be MORE changes per stage.
Do not add small changes only to a stage.
→ No just adding a few clothes/accessories for every stage

I can hardly find 2 big changes between stages. Like between 1 and 2: hair, top and...?

This was the only reason I got ._.

At least one of the image files is drawn out of proportions.

Ah, let me see then. I used the one from your da earlier so didn't see size of actual knuffel.
